Brew Methods
How to get the best cup of coffee out of our different grinds!
Drip Method
At Worldly Refreshments, we believe every cup is an opportunity to explore the world one sip at a time. For the best drip coffee experience, start with fresh, cold filtered water and use 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water, adjusting to your preferred strength. Place a clean paper filter in your brewer, add the coffee grounds, and brew according to your machine's instructions. A water temperature between 195°F and 205°F helps bring out the unique flavors and aromas found in each origin. Once brewed, serve immediately and enjoy the journey of flavors from around the world. Whether you're revisiting a destination you love or discovering somewhere new, every cup from Worldly Refreshments is meant to inspire exploration, connection, and memorable moments.
Recommended Ratio: 2 tablespoons (10–12g) coffee per 6 oz (180ml) water for a richer cup.
Brew Time: Approximately 4–6 minutes.
Pro Tip: Always use freshly ground coffee and clean your brewer regularly to ensure the purest flavor in every cup.

Whole Bean
At Worldly Refreshments, every bag of whole bean coffee is an invitation to explore flavors from around the world. For the freshest and most flavorful cup, grind only the amount of coffee you need just before brewing. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons (10–12 grams) of freshly ground coffee for every 6 ounces of filtered water, adjusting to your preferred strength. Select a grind size that matches your brewing method—medium for drip coffee makers, coarse for French press, and fine for espresso. Brew with water between 195°F and 205°F to fully unlock each coffee’s unique aromas and tasting notes. Whether you're reliving memories from a favorite destination or discovering a new corner of the world, every cup is designed to bring people and cultures together through extraordinary beverages.
Quick Brewing Guide:
- Drip Coffee Maker: Medium grind | 4–6 minutes
- French Press: Coarse grind | 4 minutes
- Pour Over: Medium-fine grind | 3–4 minutes
- Espresso: Fine grind | 25–30 seconds
Worldly Refreshments Tip: Store whole beans in an airtight container away from heat, light, and moisture, and grind only what you need to preserve freshness and enjoy the fullest expression of each coffee's flavor journey.

Coarse
At Worldly Refreshments, our coarse ground coffees are crafted to create a smooth, refreshing experience that lets you explore flavors from around the world in every sip. To make cold brew, combine 1 cup of coarse ground coffee with 4 cups of cold, filtered water in a large container and gently stir until all grounds are saturated. Cover and steep in the refrigerator for 12–18 hours, then strain through a fine mesh filter, cheesecloth, or coffee filter. Serve over ice and dilute with water, milk, or your favorite creamer to taste. For a nitro-style experience, chill the finished cold brew and infuse it with nitrogen using a compatible nitro dispenser for a velvety texture and cascading finish. The slower extraction process creates a naturally smooth, low-acid coffee that highlights the unique flavors and origins found in every Worldly Refreshments blend, making each glass a refreshing journey around the world.
Cold Brew Ratio: 1 cup coffee to 4 cups water (creates a concentrate)
Steep Time: 12–18 hours refrigerated
Serving Suggestion: Dilute 1 part concentrate with 1–2 parts water, milk, or a dairy-free alternative to your preferred strength.
Worldly Refreshments Tip: Brew a batch ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 7 days, so a refreshing taste of the world is always ready to enjoy.

Matcha
1. Sift the Matcha
Add 1 gram of matcha powder to a bowl and sift it to remove clumps. This creates a smoother, creamier tea.
2. Add Hot Water
Pour in 2–3 ounces (60–90 mL) of hot water at 175°F (80°C). Avoid boiling water, as it can make the matcha taste bitter.
3. Whisk Until Frothy
Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk in a quick "M" or "W" motion for 15–30 seconds until a light foam forms on top.
4. Enjoy Your Matcha
Drink it traditionally as is, or add more hot water for a lighter tea. You can also pour it over ice or add steamed milk for a matcha latte.

Worldly Refreshments Tip: Matcha is more than a tea—it's an experience. Take a moment to slow down and enjoy this vibrant Japanese tradition one cup at a time.
